The Right Connection for the Future - consistec Develops Software for Charging Stations.

In cooperation with Newetec GmbH, the Saarbrucken-based experts in web-based portal solutions are currently developing an application for electric charging stations. This software will enable station operators to manage all customer data individually.

Customers who “fill up” their electric car or electric bike log into the respective charger using a RFID chip. The program then records who consumed the electricity, the quantity, and when charging took place. This customer data is then transferred automatically to the operator. And at the end of the month the customer receives a “charging invoice” in the comfort of his own home.

The corresponding hardware, the column itself, is among the most modern charging stations currently on the market. Clear and easy operation via graphics display and function keys, ergonomic design, and the modular configuration of four independent charging hook-ups
ensures smooth operation that demonstrates the charging procedure to customers quickly and easily.

Rising energy costs and the actions required to lower CO2 emissions will drive future expansion of renewable energy worldwide.

As such, electromobility is forecast to become a critical economic growth factor. Specialists in mechanical and electrical engineering are working together to develop electric and hybrid drives – from electric bike manufacturers to the premium automobile market.

When the German Federal Government began its national electromobility platform in 2010, its goal was to make Germany the lead market for electromobility. By 2020, it hopes to have one million electric vehicles on German roads, which would represent a real alternative to conventional automobiles.

But suppose someone decides to purchase an electric car. At the latest once that battery level is almost down to zero, he is faced with the question of where to “fill up”. To ensure proper function over a wide area, powerful charging infrastructures are needed.

It is an exciting, forward-looking subject that may open the way to new markets for many industries. consistec and Newetec already have additional ideas for expanding and further developing charging stations products in the pipeline.
